A Toilet Paper Story

March 11th, 2010

toilet-paper-storyFor some people going to the toilet is a nice and peaceful moment. But if your life sums up to loneliness, toilet just become one more prison. – Very true indeed. Toilet or Bathroom is really one of my favorite places to stay in the house. It was like a comfort place for me to have a quiet time alone while taking a dump, reading a book or sometimes play video games on my PSP. And admit it or not, there are lots of things that goes through your head while sitting on that one corner of the room. You can laugh or cry, and no one can see you. Lots of positive and negative emotions or sometimes, naughty imaginations. lol. Probably a quite time for yourself to relax and sort out things in your life.

The video below is a very good stop-motion movie made of toilet papers entitled “Au Bout Du Rouleau” which means “Burnt Out”. The title says it all. Enjoy!

Evolution of Video Games That Made Us Look Stupid

March 6th, 2010

I’ve been an active gamer ever since. I remember playing from Atari, Family Computer, Super Nintendo up to PlayStation. And I’ve seen how crazy video games has evolved since then. Evolution from 2d games to 3d games. From just a controller to dance pads to wireless gaming. I remember how crazy my face look every time I’m in emotion with what I am playing. LOL!

Here’s a good infographics that tells how video games evolved from making us look stupid: Dance Dance Revolution!

Evolution of Video Games

Just The Facts

  • Produced by Konami in 1998 as part of their mission to make a peripheral for every musical activity in the world.
  • Led to the word “Exergaming,” an attempt to make players sound as stupid as they looked.
  • The only game to be used in some school gyms, which we still can’t decide is awesome or terrible.

A few hours ago, I asked one of our IT guy here to install a particular software on my computer and he downloaded it on this site. I’m glad he reminded me this site that I bookmarked a few years back whenever I need a certain software to use. So here is an old site that I recommend to everyone. I’m sure this will be a big help specially if you get tired of browsing the software you need around the web and end up with nothing. Some of the best stuff to download there includes browser and plug-ins, file sharing software, anti-virus, drivers, audio and video software and more!

Earth Hour 2010 – Turn Your Lights OFF

March 1st, 2010

Light

Earth Hour 2010 is almost near! Turn your lights of this coming March 27, 2010 at 8:30 PM wherever you are in the world to show your support for action on climate change! Earth Hour was first started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. A lot of people in the world turned their lights off by that time to show their support on this global campaign on climate change. I wasn’t able to support this campaign last year but I’d definitely participate this year. There are lots of things this climate change do affect our planet. Lots of strange things going on. Just like what we are experiencing now in the Philippines, the El Niño phenomenon or ENSO. Floods, Earthquakes, Tsunamis and more. I feel like this world is falling apart little by little.

From [EathHour.org]:

In March 2009, hundreds of millions of people took part in the third Earth Hour. Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet, making Earth Hour 2009 the world’s largest global climate change initiative.

You can support Earth Hour by:

  • Turning off your lights at 8.30PM on March 27
  • Showing your support and adding yourself to our world map
  • Adding Earth Hour widgets, logos and banners to your blog or website to help us spread the word
  • Talking about Earth Hour in your social network by updating your Facebook status, grabbing a Twibbon, tweeting about your support, and more
  • Get together with your friends and family, by hosting an Earth Hour party or holding your own candlelit affair
  • Rally your local council or community group to run an Earth Hour event for your community
  • Encourage your employer and workmates to take part in Earth Hour and make energy savings every day
  • Make an Earth Hour Lantern as a symbol of hope for the future
  • Be creative! Find a new way to mark Earth Hour and let us know all about it!

Will you turn your lights off on March 27?

Chatroulette Explained

February 25th, 2010

Roulette

Chatroulette became very popular since the day I first came across this wonderful site. This website doesn’t have a wheel to spin just like the casino game Roulette but instead, you can video, voice and text chat with a random person around the world. And the interesting part is that, you can be in front of a totally random, weird and pervert person. And if you don’t feel like chatting with that person, you just spin the wheel by clicking the “Next” button. Sweet!

Anyway, the video below is from Casey Neistat who did an experiment about this amazing site. It is a very entertaining introduction for you guys who haven’t tried spinning the wheels yet. According to the video, there are about 71% Male, 15% Female, 14% Pervert who uses Chatroulette! Check it out:
