A Few Things To Know About Inception

The “Inception” movie was released here in the Philippines last July 15, 2010. It is another Leonardo DiCaprio movie which was directed by Christopher Nolan, the man behind The Dark Knight and Memento. The plot has lots of twists and turns, as well as scenes that will make you want to watch it all over again. There are lots of these “things to know about Inception” that came up all over the internet. I stumbled upon this blog about “25 Questions: Can You Enjoy Inception if You’re Not Very Smart?” which I find interesting. 🙂

Then what is Inception? Here’s an excerpt:

Inception is the act of invading someone’s dreams for the sole purpose of planting an idea. It is the opposite of extraction, which is the process by which one gathers important information from the subject’s subconcious. Inception is thought by some to be impossible because the inceptee’s mind has an uncanny ability to trace the planted idea back to the person who planted it. For example, if someone tells you “Don’t think about elephants,” you may think of elephants, but this fails as inception because the originator—the person who ordered you not to think about elephants—can be traced as the source too easily.

I’ll find out about it this weekend… Hope I won’t get disappointed.
