A few days ago, you virtually saw the very beautiful city of Paris via the site Paris in 26 Gigapixels, and I’m sure you enjoyed some of the best places there. As I was browsing the internet this morning, I found another interesting website that will take us on an amazing virtual tour of the famous Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. This Sistine Chapel is the official residence of the Pope in Vatican City which is very famous for its outstanding architecture.

A little overview from Wikipedia:

“Under the patronage of Pope Julius II, Michelangelo painted 12,000 square feet (1,100 m2) of the chapel ceiling between 1508 and 1512. He resented the commission, and believed his work only served the Pope’s need for grandeur. However, today the ceiling, and especially The Last Judgement, are widely believed to be Michelangelo’s crowning achievements in painting.”
